Our Mission:

We Hold Hands has 4 main goals which we strive to achieve through our programs: to grow together, boost your confidence, support your learning, and strive for excellence.

We believe that a multifaceted approach must be taken to aid those in need. So, we not only help students academically, we also assist in learning about wellness and overall health maintenance.

Grow together.

A lack of communal support leads to higher rates of psychological disorders in low-income areas.

We Hold Hands provides free tutoring to enable students to spend time on fostering meaningful relationships with their friends and tutors, thereby improving their mental health.

Boost your confidence.

While only 16% of low-income students graduate from college, 60% of wealthier students do. A lack of confidence to pursue higher education contributes to a multi-generational cycle of poverty.

We Hold Hands aims to provide resources that students need to increase quality of education.

Support your learning.

Unequal funding to public schools causes a lack of support for students, causing underprivileged students to fall behind.

We Hold Hands provides academic support to level the playing field for these students.

Strive for excellence.

Lower income students tend to have poorer standardized test scores than wealthier students leading to fewer opportunities in the future, thereby increasing the educational inequality gap.

We Hold Hands aims to assist students academically to open doors for underprivileged students.
